Faraby Martha, MD is a consultant in the Ophthalmology department of the Cataract, Cornea, and Refractive Surgery division at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Indonesia – Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (FMUI–RSCM). He is also Member of the Eye Health Cluster and Clinic at Poliklinik Madya RSCM.

He graduated as a medical doctor from FMUI in 2010 and continued his residency as an ophthalmologist from 2012 to 2017 at FMUI-RSCM. In 2018, he completed a fellowship program in the Cornea, Cataract, and Refractive Surgery division at FMUI-RSCM. He also participated in a fellowship program abroad in Iran at Khatam Al Anbiya Eye Hospital in 2018-2019, India at the Standard Chartered LVPEI Academy for Eye Care Education in 2022, and Japan at Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine in 2023.

Faraby Martha, MD actively partakes in organizations both nationally and internationally. Since 2020 until now, he has functioned as the Head of the Cataract Blindness Eradication division of the Indonesian Ophthalmologists Association (IOA) Jakarta. He also joined the Leadership Development Program of the Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology (APAO) in 2023.

He always has innovation and a strong passion for ophthalmology surgery, in 2022, Faraby Martha, MD succeeded in developing an eye model simulator called the Farra Eye Model, which is now used in cataract surgery simulations.
